Objective
The objective of the
Agrobotics research project is to set up a context for investigating and
developing a novel software framework to advance the deployment of
unmanned agricultural mobile robotic systems (or situated agents). The
challenge involves establishing the basis for understanding desirable
agent behaviors in the agricultural domain, generating guidelines for
agent assessment and architecture comparison. Based on these results
we investigate and develop an architecture with focus on vehicle
safety and fault-tolerance. Although the project investigates a
general software framework we put special focus on on agent behaviors
related to coordination.
